BECMD and Queued

I have made a program that runs a backup using the BECMD command line prompt which works fine. I use it to backup to a USB hard drive attached to the server. The backup runs well until it tries to write the last chunk of data. The job progress just goes to 'Queued' and nothing I do gets it started again. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?

 Hi Simon,

Well there could be many reasons when a backup job is queued so if you check logs under BEWS you will get and exact error why the backup job is queued.

Try  a new backup job to a different location and see if it works fine.

just a thought -

I know you are writing to disk, but double check that you have not set "eject-on-end" in the job.  With a removeable drive, BackupExec may be waiting for a response to a "remove media" prompt

I haven't play with BEMCMD much lately, but with regular jobs you can specify actions to be taken when different Alerts come up.  possible you can set it so that "OK" is automatically replied when the remove media Alert comes up

Dear Hemant,

Where do I find these BEWS logs?
