BEWS & CPS in combination with third party remote backup

Does anyone has experience with this issue?:

In a multiserver environment, we want to use Continuous Protection Server. Instead of making snapshot backup to tape we would like to use a third party remote backup via the internet to backup these snapshot(s).

The third party solution is able to make a so called "In-File delta" backup.

My question is: can this be used????

Hello,

Can you elaborate your question in detail ?

Which third party you would like to use ?

Regards

Hi,

a backup will be done with remote backup via Internet to www.backup-connect.nl.

The question is in fact: can the snapshot, normally backed up to tape, be backed up incrementingly or differential? Once a week a full backup will be performed to the external backup provider, all other days the backup will be differential/incremental.

The most interesting of this all: is a restore from the CPS possible in this case? As stated in the original question, 3th party backup is capable of in-file backup.

Hope this clears the question.

Servers(CPA) ----> CPS --**--> Internet ----> 3th Party Backup

** = Third party backup solution's agent to backup data to a remote location. Once a week full; other days incremental/differential
