BKUPEXEC.exe Cmd line options

Clive_Robinson
Not applicable
Using Backup Exec 9.1 build 4691.

Are there any command line options that can be specified for BKUPEXEC.exe?
I am thinking particularly of using Remote Administration and would like to be able to pre-specify the media server to be attached to in a script. Is this possible ?

Can't find any info. in the manual and using /? -? doesn't help.

Hello,

Yes you can use the command line applet with Backup Exec version 9.1. You can find the information in the manual too. Refer to the 14th chapter on page no.609 in the admin guide. You can also get a soft copy of the admin guide from the following link:
http://support.veritas.com/docs/266190

Moreover refer to the follwing technote for more information:

Title: How to run the BEMCMD command from a remote computer on which Backup Exec is not installed
http://support.veritas.com/docs/274287

Hope this helps. In case of further queries, do not hesitate to wite back to the forum. However if we do not receive your update within two business days, this post would be marked ‘assumed answered’ and would be moved to ‘answered questions’ pool.

Nope -
Neither the server code nor remote admin have any switches

Hello

For the remote administration console we have no switches in backup exec to automate the server being attached.
It is thus not possible to write the script that you wish. You may lodge an enhancement request for the same on our website.
