Backing up Apple's Macintosh Xserver OSX10.4

Our object is to backup an Apple Macintosh Xserver OSX 10.4 using Backup Exec 11d. I have down loaded and installed the evalution software Remote Agent for Linux, Mac on the Xserver. The installation completed without any problems.

However, when we go to the selection list neither the Xserver nor the icon for the linux/mac group show up. We do not have a license for the mac remote agent.

We can backup up Windows and Netware servers without any problems.

The Xserver is running TCP/IP.

Any suggestion as to how to get this working?

So you have installed serials for RAWS and RANW on the media server?  In that case you cannot Demo any products, since as soon as the first serial is entered, the Demo period is terminated

You need to purchase and install the remote agent for macintosh servers

The only way that I can think of to Demo the Mac Agent would be to install v11d on another machine in Demo Mode (a spare desktop would do) and play with the MAC agent on that.  when/if you are satisfied that it will do what you need, then purchase the serial and install it on the media server
