Backup Exec 10d and Overland ARCvault autoloader

Hi,

I recently purchased the above autoloader to replace a single LTO1 drive. At the same time I thought that I'd upgrade from BE 9.1 to 10. BE can see the autoloader and can see the tapes which I've loaded into it. The problem is that whenever I try to run a backup the job just goes to Queued and then eventually fails. I can't label or erase media either.

Can someone tell me how to determine if this is a software or hardware issue?

Further.............

it says that all my media is write protected, which it isn't. I've created a new media set which is overwritable and has infinite append. Even when I try to erase or label media in that set, it says they are write protected.

Please help
