Backup Exec 2010 & 12.5

Buenos dias.

Recientemente se ha comprado una licencia en la empresa

SYMC BACKUP EXEC 2010 SERVER WIN PER
SERVER BNDL STD LIC EXPRESS BAND S
BASIC 12 MONTHS

¿podrian explicarme a qué tengo derecho con esta licencia?

Esta licencia la instalaré en un servidor Windows con una unidad de cinta. Debe hacer backups de otro servidor Windows y de varios equipos de la red. ¿es posible con esta licencia?

Por otro lado tenemos unas licencias antiguas de la version 12.5 compradas con equipos Dell :

"Symantec Backup Exec Windows Remote Server Add-on Pack provides complete protection for two remote Windows Servers and twenty desktops and laptops".

¿Podemos actualizar estos agentes a la version 2010 para su uso en servidores que no sean Dell?

This includes your core BE license, 1 RAWS license, 5 DLO licenses & 12-months basic level of support maintenance

To backup other remote systems, you would need appropriate remote agent licenses, i.e 1 RAWS license per remote server...and if you are backing up Exchange, SQL etc, you would require appropriate licenses for them as well

To upgrade your BE 12.5, you need to check with Symantec Licencing.  Normally, the upgrade is free if you have a current maintenance contract.

...you already have the license, so all you need to do is download the trial version of BE 2010 on the link below and upgrade. If you have any other license requirements outside of your current BE 2010 license, you need to true-up.
