Backup Exec 2010 R3 SP1 Throughput or lack of

Upon upgradeing to Backup Exec 2010 R3 SP1 through put speeds have dropped.

We run Windows 2008 R2 SP1. Connected to a tape drive.

Backup speeds have dropped from 5000 MB /min to 1000 MB / min.

Assuming the problem was the tape drive I created a B2d job for the same servers. Through put is 600MB / min

This is terrible and is directly related to the update installed!! In previous versions, B2D backups ran much faster also.

Just for comparison, we have had no difference in speed between pre SP1 and SP1.

there are some hotfixes just out to do with Device Drivers. See

perhaps check to see if there are any new hotfixes available via liveupdate

I definitely had about 1000mb/min drop after installing SP1.. Had to uninstall and reinstall from scratch without SP1.. Backup Windows too tight..
