Hi
Just need to know whether must i need a windows agent license if i try a trial (online download which does not have a license key (for 60 days).

All the features are available during the 60 days trial. You don't need to install any licence key.

Which Agents and Options for Backup Exec 2010 are and are NOT available for evaluation

- Agent for Microsoft Exchange Server
- Agent for Microsoft Hyper-V
- Agent for Microsoft SharePoint
- Agent for Microsoft SQL Server
- Agent for Oracle on Windows or Linux Servers
- Agent for SAP applications
- Agent for VMware Virtual Infrastructure
- Deduplication Option
- NDMP Option
- Remote Media Agent for Linux Servers
Options NOT Available for trial (evaluation)
- Central Admin Server Option
- Desktop Laptop Option
- File System Archiving Option
- Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Archiving Option
- SAN Shared Storage Option
- Storage Provisioning Option
Note: If no license has been installed then all Agents and Options are available for trial 60 days.

With Backup Exec Licensed Version Desktop and Laptop Option (DLO) can be used for 5 users without the license. There is no need of license upto 5 users, however, above that you need the DLO License.
With Backup Exec for Windows SBS you get upto 75 users to backup with DLO
