which is the total MB of my selection list before running my backup?

Im use HP LTO3

is possible obtain this report?

Hi,

If you run a prescan before your backup it should show you the count in MB of what you'd be backing up.

Otherwise you'd have to go to each folder etc. that you have selected and check how big it is. Add them all together and you'd have your answer.

However, what Craig suggested would not give you the final answer.  If you use compression, the final amount of data that is written onto your tapes may be less that what is on your disk and there is no way to know this until you actually do a backup.
