Backup Solution for 50 Clients

We are embarking on a quest for a new backup mechanism for approximately 50 clients' user data, excluding system state. Does anyone have comments on the current Recovery product to fulfill this need, or is that solution overkill?

Do you mean Backup Exec System Recovery (Server/Desktop Edition)?

If so, then you could use it, but you should specify more about what you want to backup, from where, and how you want to retain it. If you want to backup to tape, or retain backups long term, Backup Exec may be better for you.

Are the 50 clients that you are talking about user PC's?  If so, then you can use BE with the DLO (Desktop and Laptop Option).  DLO will backup user data, like My Documents, to the BE media server.  However, DLO cannot be used to restore the user's machine as only the user data is backed up and not the OS.
