I'll rephrase it differently, especially if you use Excahnge: If you haven't backed up the Information Store, you haven't backed up your SBS Server.

So, yes.

Hi azad,

I advise that you have separate backup jobs to the Information Store.

You must select the IS as well as the file system in order to protect your data

If you don't select the IS, BackupExec will skip the database files, even if you shut down the Exchange Services, and you will not get any Exchange backups

 Hi azad,

Are you meaning the Exchange information store?

Is it part of the selection list you have for that backup job, if so then it is backed up.

Are you using the BUE Exchange agent that allows backup of Exchange?
