Backup exec will not backup CPS files and folders..

Hi,

Backupexec 11d:

Need to do a restore of a drive on my BE server.  Had CPS files on drive E: on the server.  I backed up drive E via normal BE job. Shows all CPS files and folders as checked.

The backup should be 12GB, but the job completes and its size is only 250MB.  The backup job skips all the CPS subdirectory and files.

Wow, glad I looked before I wiped out that drive!

Why is is skipping all the CPS files?

Thanks much,

MP

I guess these CPS files are to be backed up as CPS protected resource from the CPS node & not as regular flat files from other drives

VJWare is correct. If you want to protect the CPS store on the file system, you should make a selection in the "Continout Protection Server" node in the backup selections view.

Hi,

Thanks very much, this is indeed where they reside.  Not you must "drill down" to select the CPS stores as the CONTINUOUS PROTECTION SERVER selection item is greyed out but you can select the stores if you drill down.

Thanks!
