Backup oracle rman offline mode

      If we want to use BE to backup the Oracle DB in offline mode, is it neccessory to enable archive log mode in the oracle database.

yes, archivelog mode needs to be set ir-respective of online or offline mode backup

No it is not necessary:

if your database is in archive log mode you can run offline and online backup both.

If your database in no archive log mode you have to select offline mode otherwise job will fail with error
