Backup to Disk failure

RDiNapoli
Level 4

I have BE 2010 installed on a W2k8 64bit server and I am unable to perform backup to disk.  When I run B2Dtest_64bit.exe, I get a Creaate Directory Failed - Unable to create target directory (0x542) unknown error.  I am using an admin account.

Any thoughts?

Could you post the screenshot of the error that you are getting while creating the B2D.

Have you tried creating the folder from the device tab.

What sort of drive is this B2D located on - if we are talking a share on a remote disk of some kind - then you have to address it by UNC path as drive maps are part of the logged in user profile and don't exist when the console user is logged out.
