Backups Never begin

My backups start on time but NEVER backup any data. The elapsed time ticks away but the byte count remains at 0 until it times out.
This is on backup to disk folders. I'm backing up to a usb drive. The tape backup works fine. I'm swapping out USB drives for my large cunks of data.
I'm running version 9.1 on a sbs2003 box. PLEASE HELP.

Hi,

try recreating the backup to disk folder and test backup!

Is there any error message in job log?

Are there any alerts in "Alerts" tab of Backup Exec?

You can also try splitting the backup!
