Backups crash with reference to Lotus Notes

I am running a backup that ran fine until a couple of days ago and now it is failing with an error that points to Lotus Notes as the culprit, but no changes have been made on either side to indicate what the problem might be. This is the error I get:

: e00084b8 - An error occurred during backup. See the job log for details

and it points to the following file:
FGBNOTES|E:\Domino\Data\desktop5.DSK

can anyone help?

Disable Antivirus if running during backups.
