CPS and a daily backup

Hello,

I'm trying to backup exchange to 2 different locations-

with BackupExec daily backup to tape

and with CPS to B2D every hour.

is there a way to pause the CPS when the daily job is running - if they run together one of the jobs fail and vss some  times needs a n information store restart

it doesn't talk about combining 2 jobs
