Can Backup Exec 2010 agent for VMWare backup VM running on ESXi instead of ESX

Hi,

I helping a client who has purchased Backup Exec 2010 Agent for VMWare Virtural Inf  Part#20090499. The want to backup VMs running on ESXi (Free version). Will the current license work with it or do we need to buy ESX?

As per  Admin Guide of BE2010

All free versions of ESXi (3.5i and 4i) require a minimum license from VMware in order to be protected by Backup Exec. This is due to the lack of vStorage API for Data Protection support in the free unlicensed versions of ESXi and is a current limitation of VMware.

Just an add-on to the above query. Apart from the license from VMWare for ESXi, the current AVVI license for Backup Exec would work with ESXi.
