Can I make a copy of the *.dr files if I know where they are?

I am a new IT tech and therefore did not install BEWS in the beginning.
I am trying to create Intelligent Disaster Recovery Disks (which I did with no problems)
I am using BEWS 9.1

My questions is that the admin guide said that upon installing BEWS you should specify an alternate *.dr path (alternate to your main server)
This was not done but I found the files on my main server.

If I copy them to a floppy, will they be usable at disaster recovery or does the path to the alternate *.dr files need to be established at installation?

                                                              You should be able to provide an alternate path even after initial installation . It can be done from Tools -->> Options -->> IDR .
