Can't install DLO on server

Hi.

I have been trying to install the DLO on our BackupEXEC 10d server for the last days, but it always fails. I have tryed to reinstall BackupEXEC completly, installed SP1.

In the Eventlog I get an errormessage from Windows Installer that tells med: "Failed to connect to server. Error: 0x800401F0". EventID 1015

The strange thing is that this only seems to happen when I'm trying to install the DLO option. I have installed the "Advanced Open files", Exchange and SQL agent, and Windows remote agents without any problems.

I think I have tryed all the solutions I chould find here in the forum, without any luck. The installation fails everytime.

Any ideas on this?

Hi,

Search for the bkupinst.log in the C:\Windows path on the media server.

Please paste the contents of this log here.

Also go thru:

During the installation of Backup Exec (tm) 9.x and 10.x for Windows Servers, the following error prevents Backup Exec from installing: "ERROR: Internal Error 2755. 1612, \VERITAS Backup Exec For Windows Servers.msi."

This problem was solved by installing the DLO option onto another backup server.
