We have an old demo version of BE 11d on Win Server 2003, which we're trying to remove so we can install a full version of 2010. Backup Exec itself uninstalled fine, but trying to remove CPS produces: Error 1325. SystemCache is not a valid short file name.
This is true if we try to remove it from Control Panel/Add-Remove, or if we run the installation CD. Same message if we try running Repair.
Any thoughts? I tried the BE Support Tool... the only Warning it produces is that BE isn't installed.
In case it's relevant, the original data storage drive it probably tried to use is gone.
