Cannot restore Exchange 2003 mailbox Error 0xe000846a

I am having problems trying to restore an Exchange 2003 mailbox, when I attempt a restore I receive the following error message.

Final error: 0xe000846a - The resource could not be restored because an error occurred while connecting to the Backup Exec for Windows Servers Remote Agent.
Make sure that the correct version of the Remote Agent is installed and running on the target computer.
Final error category: Resource Errors

I have ran through the suggestions on the support page http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/280668.htm but I am still having problems.

My set up is as follows:

Backup Exec 11D Rev 6235 (I've checked for updates but says the software is up to date)

Windows 2003 Storage Server SP2 all updates installed.

Exchange Back up agent licensed and installed.

Exchange 2003 SP2

Back up Exec Remote agent installed

I have no problems restoring normal Windows files to other remote servers, only restoring mailboxes and folders. I am not sure how to enable and view debugging.

Any help would be appreciated

the latest version is 7170.  You might want to check for the latest version on fileconnect
