I think the topic says enough... basically I'm trying to recatalog a tape because it was created on a different media server than the one it's currently connected to. I've moved the media to retired, deleted it, re-inventoried, and attempted to recatalog. Each time it eventually asks for another tape -- I read that to stop this from occuring you uncheck the "Request all media in sequence..." option from Options > Catalogs (along with Use storag-based media catalogs). This has served no effect.
What gives?
What's even worse is that the backup set I'm trying to restore fully resides on the one tape, it is another set that is sequenced across two tapes. However when I run the recovery job, it complained about the catalogs and never started (failed). It seems silly to require all tapes in a media family when they aren't really necessary.
