Cleaning tape config

Hi,

I've a Dell Powervault robotic library.  I've left it on its own for "cleaning", but as it provides no logs I wanted to use Backup Exec instead.  I've disabled the  auto-clean option on the powervault.

However, the "Dedicated cleaning slot" that the powervault has doesn't show up in BackupExec anywhere, so Backupexec cant see the cleaning tape.  I can move the tape to another slot, and then it shows ok.  Any idea how to get the cleaning slot to appear??

Its not a numbered slot on the robot.

For now, I'll sacrifice another slot... but would be nice to get it back

Without seeing it, I am not sure how to answer, but I would actually go back to letting it clean itself. It knows best when it needs cleaning.

If for any reason it goes beyond that period, most Dells throw a flag, and start blinking a nice bright amber light on the front.

Just my opinion.
