Hello,

i have some issue with NDMP option. I record my NDMP server in BE devices, and i can connect to my NDMP.

Now, when i want create a new backup job, when i try to test authentification on ressources, BE indicates that i haven't a valid account and that i must verify my credentials... i don't understand, i could have 2 differents account, one for connect to NDMP, and another one to access to my NDMP ressources (filesystem) ?

Of course of backup failed.

I'm sad to see that Symantec log is so poor, it always write "unknow error" ! very helpful !

If you have a Powerlink account (powerlink.emc.com), if not create one and browse to the following section..
Home > Support > Technical Documentation and Advisories > Hardware/Platforms Documentation > Celerra Network Server > Maintenance/Administration

Find the following documnet - Configuring NDMP Backups to Disk on Celerra  6.0 A01

This has detailed instruction on how to setup NDMP for Symantec BE

Also see this technote of Symantec about configuring NDMP with NS120:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH51276

(I see that the account MUST be named ndmp !)

Finally, it's not working for moment.

We try to backup the NS120 with Netvault, it's working fine, but not for BE.
