Backupexec 11d (Latest updates via live update)

We have upgraded one of our SQL servers from Backupexec 10.d to 11d.  We un-installed version 10d deleted the SQL instance and then installed backupexec 11d and selected to use a SQL express instance during installation.

Backups now fail with the following error (When the Backupexec database is selected for backup):

You could have a look at SQL consistency check errors
However, you don't need to select the BEDB database. Backup Exec creates a BEDB.bak file (during database maintenance) which would be included as part of the media server backup. The Backup Exec database can be restored from this file.

Hi Optimus,

I suspect that the guy was trying to backup the SQL DB without a license, and this was causing the issues in his backups!

Laters!

No Craig,

I also facing the same problem here: The job failed with the following error: One or more SQL Database consistency checks have failed.

this is backing up SharePoint 2007 which of course we must backup the SQL server content.

any clue for this please ?

Please try to uncheck the consistency check for the sql database and see if it works. It might be the sql consistency check and your sql might not be consistent. You have to run the consistency check from sql to find what might be the issue with sql.
As BE just give the command to BE to run the consistency commands on the sql
