Hi all :) So, we just got DeDupe and it's working on a few test jobs right now.
My question is, Can I create a folder under my dedupe volume to separate the exchange backups? Currently or previous to having dedupe, we simply had a separate folder on the same volume for the exchange backups, but now, I am pointing my B2D jobs to the same folder as before, but I have made that folder the dedupe volume...
Example:
This is how it used to be...
D:\B2D
D:\B2D_Exchange
This is what I want to do, since the D:\B2D folder is the dedupe folder now...
D:\B2D (for regular B2D with dedupe
and
D:\B2D\Exchange (for the exchange backups... (will this work? will the backups get deduped?)

Well the configuration you are trying is not possible with Dedup. You cannot create any sub folder
within the dedup folder. B2D and Dedup are not alike, dedup has its own database,
B2D is a simple folder where data is dumped in .bkf format but lots of data processing happens
when you target jobs to dedup folder.

Alright, I thought so, but wasn't sure. Will it be ok to do my exchange backups to the same folder as all of my other deduped data?

If you want to dedup your Exchange data, then you have to target it to the dedup folder.
