Delete Backups from media

Hello: 

I am running Backup Exec 2010 R3 Service Pack 3 on Windows Server 2008R2 Enterprise. I would like to delete some of the backups that are cotained in the media without deleting the entire media. Does anyone know how to achieve that?

No.  This is not possible.  You cannot delete part of a media.  You either delete or overwrite the entire media.
