Desktop Laptop Option Storage Volume?

Hello,

I am setting up the desktop laptop option of our Symantec Backup Exec server and I had quick question. Can the Storage Folder be on the same volume as the Deduplication folder? Or would it be better to store the data to a file server and then have the Bcakup Exec Server back that up with deduplication? I am trying to implement the best strategy for backing up user computers. Thanks!

Ideally the Dedupe folder is on it's own set of disks/spindles.  It needs the performance.

The DLO shares can be NAS if you want them to be.
