Hi All,
I am using Symantec Backup Exec 12.5 Rev 2213 and installed this software on a server running Win2k3 Standard SP2.This server is connected to a HP G2 Autoloader via a SAS adapter.
From this server,i create a differential backup jobs to backup flat file from different servers to a media Ultrium LTO4. I only backup critical data. However it takes at least 8 to 9 hrs to complete for 300GB
Previously i did backup flat file data of 135 GB and it only took 3 hrs to complete.
FYI. This server is running 1Gbps.
Is there any way to improve the backup performance by reducing the backup time?
