Disk-to-disk-tape

Hello everyone I am a newbie with veritas products and I am used to Brightstor which we aahve had bad experiences with.

We have deployed 10.d recently with a library and trying to get it working...

if I create two seprate jobs one from "source to file media" works ok and another job from the "file media backup to tape" works ok

But can we create a backup job which would backup to local server i.e. file media and than auto migrate to tape and leave the file backup for 24 hrs.

So we can take the tapes offsite and still run a restore using the local file media on the server. the backup server has 3 TB of space.

We still manage it with two seprate jobs but not sure if this can be acheived with one backup job all in one.

You can try duplicating the job which you take on backup to disk.

I am guessing this is the only way to migrate the data accross to tape if the earlier job was taken to disk?
