I was running with 10.0 Rev 5484. Restores were working then.
I had to upgrade to 10.0 SP4 then to 10.1 rev 5629 due to some other problem.
I just tried to do a restore of some files and it keeps bring up this message:
Restore 00002 -- The job failed with the following error: An error occurred while scanning the catalogs. The job will not continue.
Check for the following:
- low virtual memory conditions
- a corrupt or truncated catalog
- that the media you are restoring has not been overwritten
According to the link V-79-57344-33860, I have already tried stopping/starting BE Engine and redid the catalog (twice). Still getting the same error.
So I did a reboot of the system last night and did the backup on another tape. Same problem when trying to do a restore. Redoing the catalog and BE Engine did not help.
This is very urgent!! I need to restore some files.
Please help me on this asap.
