Exchange Mailboxes 0KB

Hi,

Client has Win2003SBS with Veritas 9.1 SP4 installed. Can select individual mailboxes when doing a backup selection. Once backup completed and go via Restore the exchange mailboxes displays as 0KB, although it does backup the Exchange Information store successfully.

have tried the following
created backup exec account with administrative rights, used this acc for backup services services, backup exec was even reinstalled at once stage as the SP4 roll-out prevented the tape engine from starting.

any advice re why mailboxes display as 0KB?

Are you using any other language for Outllok other than english?

hi,

yes all clients running Outlook english version. Note that all mailboxes in restore window show as 0kb, not just one

Hello Michael,
- Does you Backup show 0 KB as well?
- Does your selection list show 0 KB?
- Does this happen on IS backup only or the Mailbox store Backup as well?

Hi,

thanks this is actually completed. the amount only display 0kb when looking at the user's mailbox in veritas, upon browsing to "top of information store" you can view that actual mailbox sizes
