Exclude Limit?

Hello all:

Is there a limit to the number of files / folders one can exclude?

After selecting a number of exclusions on our selection list, when I try to de-select just one more folder it will not register.  When I click the OK button to accept the selection list the program just sits there.

Hi John,

I had this same issue. Making this registry change was the fix for me:

good luck!

You can also use Wildcards to exclude items if they are similar.  For instance, you can exclude all "Deleted Items" folders in mailboxes by using the ** wildcard (**\Deleted Items)   The ** wildcard replace all folder levels so that no matter where the item is you want to exclude, it will be found.

The * wildcard excludes the specific level in the folder structure, such as C:\Data\*\123 would exclude the 123 folder under any folder at the second level.

Look up wildcards in the manual or administrator guide for more uses.  They save you a lot of time instead of having to select each item, just globally exclude them.
