Firmware upgrade

I have Backup Exec 10D loaded (5629) (basically BE10 with sp4) I have a Quantum DLT-v4 internal device. The specs say it is capable of 160/320 tapes. It does not recognize and ejects the Super DLTtape I 320 tape I have purchased, I thought perhaps a firware upgrade would rectify the situation.
In order to do a firmware upgrade, the instructions say to copy the firmware update to a backup tape. I can not figure out how to do this. The copy feature is greyed out. I read in one of the knowledge base documents that i need to make this BU server a media server. I have tried making this the media server but I am not doing that part right either. 

Any suggestions here would be appreciated.

Looks like you may have the wrong media

Media Compatibility

  • Quantum DLT-V4 tape drives write to the following media:
    DLTtape VS1 (MR-V1MQN-01)

  • Quantum DLT-V4 tape drives read the following media:
    DLTtape VS1 (MR-V1MQN-01), also reads DLTtape IV (THXKD-02) cartridge written on DLT 1 and DLT VS80 drives and DLTtape VS1 cartridges written on DLT VS160 drives

  • Quantum DLT-V4 tape drives utilize the following cleaning cartridge:
    DLT VS 160/V4 Cleaning (MR-V1CQN-01)
