HOTFIX 52 Security Rollup Question

The information with this fix (9.1 4691 Hotfix 52 - Backup Exec for Windows Servers May 2005 Security Rollup ) states that when installed, the Agents need to be re-installed on every machine. We have about 300 workstations with the Agent installed on it and was wondering if the Agent must be un-installed first, or if it could just be re-pushed from the Veritas server. It is sufficient to re-push the agents to the remote machines.
