HP 36/72GB USB causes problems

I installed an HP 36/72 DAT (DDS5) USB drive onto a Small Business Server 2003 that was using Backup Exec 9.1 to backup to a Seagate 20/40 DDS4 DAT drive.
 
Unfortunately I could not get the HP drive to be recognized by BE and now I can not even get the Seagate to be recognized and I cannot get either recognized as a device to back up to.
 
Any help or recommended insights would be appreciated.

Are you using the latest Symantec drivers?    http://support.veritas.com/docs/273853
 
If you open Windows Device Manager, are both drives started and ready?

Sorry - Didn't read very carefully
 
V9.1 does NOT support USB tape drives, only USB HDDs
 
v10.0 was the first version that did
