Help! Backup complete sucessfully with exceptions.

Hi I've done a search in the forum and tried the methods that were said here but it still is the same.

The backup server is on a Windows Server backing up data on a Linux system through the remote agent. There are 2 backup server connected to the remote agent in which one is able to backup the whole thing sucessfully while the other give the above message. Both the server have exactly the same setting on Backup Exec but the one that has error is a more powerful server.

Hello Yong,

"Backup complete sucessfully with exceptions." is not an error message but usually an information that though the backups completed, there maybe a few files that were skipped.

You will require to analyse the job log to find out what exactly went on during the backup.

(Can be that the files that are being skipped are actually temporary files :) )

What version of linux are you using?

You could try running a backup of the linux machine by selecting the options "follow local mount points" and "follow remote mount points" in the job properties under "Linux/ Unix"
