I've changed SQL instance used by Backup Exec as described in article http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/275658.htm and also Data directory location (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VERITAS\Backup Exec\Engine\Misc\Data Path).
Backup Exec started as normal but there are error messages in the Application Event Log:
Event ID 34327
Update to catalog index (Catalog index database) failed.
Reason: Null connection object pointer cat_RecordSet::cat_RecordSet()
e:\caicosmp2\5629r\becat\beplugins\beimage\catalogindex.cpp(598)
and event ID 34304
Catalog server (C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\bengine.exe) started.
Catalog directory is D:\BackupExec\Catalogs\.
Catalog server is SERVER.
Database Connection String is "DRIVER=SQL Server;SERVER=SERVER\BkupExec;DATABASE=BEDB".
where SERVER is our server name (not real) and SERVER\BkupExec is an old instance name. The new one should by just "SERVER".
Where can I change Database Connection String?
We use Backup Exec version 10.1
