Installation using existing database

Our 11d server went belly up. Backup exec server service would not start.
Wanted to change windows version from x32 to x64 anyway so rebuilt server.
Trying to install BE11d again but I want to use an existing database on a remote SQL Cluster. Is there a recovery install method or am I going to have to copy out the existing the database let it install a new one then replace the new with the old?

Hi Chris,

Assuming the instance was from a previous 11d install, then all you have to do is point to it during the install. If it wasn't then this would not be a recommended step to take.

Please let us know if this answers your question.

Thanks.
