Hi..

I have recently upgraded to Backup exec 2010 and installed LTO 5 autoloader. Can you tell me if LTO 3 tapes are compatible with this autoloader?

LTO 5 tape drive can only read data from LTO 3 tapes.

If you have a mix of LTO5 and LTO3 tapes in your library, you should set up your barcode rules to prevent your LTO5 tape drive from trying to write to the LTO3 tapes.  See my article below
