Local Host AOFO Wizard: "The Advanced Open File Option software does not appear to be installed correctly"

I'm trying to change the AOFO settings on the server that runs Backup Exec, but get the following message when running the AOFO Wizard:

The Advanced Open File Option software does not appear to be installed correctly on \\localhost.

I can access and change remote machines using the wizard, but only have the problem on the local BEXEC server.

I've tried using the actual name of the server, localhost and 127.0.01 as the server name, but all have the same problem.

Hi,

that wizard would only work with Windows 2000 Server.

Check the TN below and see if you can move the AOFO store...

Thanks

Hi there,

Have you tried to reinstall AOFO before making any changes to it?

If not, give that a go, and try doing what you're attempting to do...report back with an update!

Laters!

What is the version of Backup Exec and on what OS its installed?

We are running Backup Exec 2010 R2 on Windows Server 2003 R2

The problem isn't related to choosing which VSS, we need to select a different drive to store the cache on and that is done using the wizard.

I have tried reinstalling the AOFO option and that did not fix the problem either.

It looks like the wizard isn't available for agents running on Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008....

The TN listed is still using the same AOFO Wizard I have tried, looks like it's only compatibly with 2000 and XP machines.

Does that mean there is no way to move the AOFO Store for anything newer?
