Long delay in starting

Using BE 11d, I have set the begin time at 12:05 am with a retention.  The actual backup doesn't begin until about 5 pm that day.  What would be causing this delay?

(I must back up during the overnight period in order to access the data in a stopped Oracle app.)

Hi Richard,
Is there anything under the 'alerts' tab or the event logs during that downtime that would signify a problem? Any sort of alerts or notification?
