Hi,
my problem is following:
- OS NT5.2 + SP1 with MSsql2000 + SP4 under user acount
- Veritas 9.1 rev. 4691 SP3

This server is behind firewall. Ports from 10.000 to 10.050 are
allowed between media server and remote agent. Ports are
configured in dynamic port ranges...

Iam able to connect to remote server, but I see only the
fysical disk (c,d,e,f,etc.)...but I cannot see SQL resource nor
System state.

thx a lot for help

Hi,
on the remote server the RemoteAgent is installed. Is running, is listening on port 10.000 and I can conntact him from media server throw firewall.

Did you enter serial numbers for sql agent at media server?
Are you able to see other sql's not behind firewall?

Yes...exactly. Its strange for me, because it was working before I puted the server behind firewall :(

I read documentation about which ports need to be opened. I opened them...on firewall, on server.

Check this articles:

Oh, great, thx a lot Ricardo,
issue around "Restrict Anonymous" helped me and now
I can see "system state" resource. Good.

But I still cannot see MSsql resource. I opened all port on
firewall betwenn Media server and remote agent, without
success ;-(

Maybe the problem is around access privileges...SQL is running
under common NT user account, remote agent is running under
local system, and I am using credentials of administrator when
connecting to remote agent.

I tried to run remote agent under administrator`s account. No success.

ITS ok ;)

I reinstalled remote agent and everyting seems to be perfect...THX a lot again Ricardo.
