Here's the situation. I do a full backup of our exchange server every night. The option is set to enable the restore of individual mail messages. The backup runs fine and I can do a restore just fine. The "problem" is that it takes a long time to actually bring up the mailbox store from the catalog screen when trying to do a restore.
It takes a good 10 minutes to pull up the mailboxes so that I can select a message to restore. Like I said, the restore works fine. I just don't understand why it takes a while to pull up the cataloged list. All other media in the catalog (which is stored on the local harddrive) works fine, just not exchange data. Even when restoring a single message from the B2D takes about 20 minutes to perform.
I'm running a 64 bit media server and a 32 bit exchange server. Both servers are running server 2003. Any ideas?
