Does anyone know of a way to get around the ndmp limitation in Backup Exec 11D? Currently it only wants to talk to NetApp and EMC devices. I have a device that supports the NDMP v4 standard and the dma for the symantec products, however Backup Exec compains about the vendor type. This product is supported in NetBackup so why not Backup Exec.
I doubt they have a supported method to "hack" their system, but I do know the vendor type being presented.
