New 9.1 install on w2k with e2k agent

on new e2k server that was running fine installed 9.1 with e2k agent upon rebooting machine took 20 minutes to start and was cpu soaked. box has all latest patches for w2k. boot up in safe mode and turn off all be services runs fine. has anyone seen this behavior before? any ideas? thanks in advance!

Hello,
I would advise you to verify if the problem is related to backup exec as follows:
1. Change the startup type of all the Backup exec services to manual
2. Reboot the server and check the CPU and memory usage.
3. Start the backup exec services and then again verify the same. Check the process that is soaking the CPU.
