New Install BE 2010

Hi

Just installed BE2010 on our server. I want to se up a backup as follows:

Sat-Thurs incremental backup of D volume

Fri - Full Backup of D volume

Monthly- Full system backup

I could not find a policy template for this schedule, is it easier to use and existing template and modify it or manually set up a new job with overides, etc.

Also , we have a mixture of new and old tapes, do I just have to format or erase the old tapes to use with the new?

1) Create 2 selection lists, 1 forD  Drive and the other for the full system

2)  Create 2 policies, 1 for D drive and the other for full system backup.

3) For the D drive policy create 2 templates, 1 for sat-thur incremental and the other for fri full.

4) create media sets for both  incremental and  full of D drive and full system backup

5) associated appropriate media set with each template.

Note: Old and new tapes will work only if they are compatible with the tape drive.

I have one problem with backuping with Symantec Backup exec. I create 4 policies. All of my policies have daily backup. All of them are backuping successfully except one(Lotus mail files backup).

In the bacup selection list i have normally configuring. But when i want to restore from the tape the lotus files are not backuping(the folders are empty)? All other files are backuped successfully.
