Novell Server Connection Error

This is a killer.
I've had this up and running for two months now with no troubles.

The Novell server I'm backing up, all of the sudden started failing, saying that there was no connection with the network. I am able to browse to the server and get into it, so I know the connection is fine.
I can see all other agents in backup selections, but can't even see this particular server.
On the novell server itself, I've checked and re-checked to see if the agent is running. It is.
I've done bestop then bestart just as a precaution.
I've restarted the services on the windows server just as a precaution.
Whenever I try a test backup job, I get that 0xe000fe28 error: "a network connection to the server could not be established".
Why can't I even browse to this in backup job selections now?
Could the NWagent be corrupt?

Hi,

In order to troubleshoot the query we would like to have following information :

1.Check the Host file entries of both the machines
2.can you ping both the machines by ip address and name
3.Remote NetWare servers are selected through the NetWare Agents icon?
4.which Novell Netware Version do you have ?

Please update us .

Thank you

Hi,

Hostfiles, ping are fine.
Server is not seen in selections through the NetWare Agent icon.
We are using Novell 6.5 With all updates current.

It looks like a reboot sequence of the netware first then the windows server did the trick.
