Oracle agent in another domain

OS: Windows Server 2003 SP1 R2
Application: Backupexec 10d

We have 2 Oracle servers, 1 in the same domain as the backup-server, and another in another domain. The Oracle-agent are installed and configured on both of the servers, but the server in the other domain doesn`t show up under "Oracle agents": http://www.jan-egil.net/backup/oracle_backup.JPG

There is also installed the remote agent for Backupexec on that server, so regular filebackup works well. I can`t see any drops in the firewall, so I don`t think it`s a firewall-issue.
The server is listed under "User-defined selections" as "\\servername".

Any suggestions on how to make it show up under "Oracle agents"?

Hello,

Have you established a trust relation between the two domains? What is the version of Oracle on the server in another domain?

Make sure that the agent was installed as per the procedure mentioned below. The account used to access Oracle has the required permissions.

Revert with details if the issue persists.

Hi!

Yes, it is configured according to the article http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/230362.htm

But there isn`t any trust-relationship between the domains...is this necessary? We were planning to only open for the ports dedicated to Backupexec, since the other domain is a more secure environment.

Hello,

Yes, it is necessary to establsih the trust relationship between the two domains to backup the servers across the domains.

I can`t establish a trust because of the security risk.
Could an alternate solution be to install Backupexec 10.d on the Oracle-server and setup a backupjob to backup the Oracle-databases to a local file and then use the remote agent from the server in the other domain to backup the file?
